ADDtek Launched LED Backlight Driver IC with Master Slave Topology which could driving over 100W LEDs

ADDtek Corp. Launched new LED Monitor / TV backlight driver IC products - a highly integrated low-cost A732, as well as support for high-power master-slave architecture A728.

A732 built-in boost converter with 60V switch and 8-channel constant current sinks with  50V MOSFET, it could driving up to 10.8W of the LED, suitable for use in 17 ", 19" LED Monitor backlight. A728 combined boost converter control circuit which driving external power switch and built-in 12-channel constant current sinks with 66V MOSFET, it could driving up to 36W of LED, suitable for use in 19 "to 24" LED Monitor backlight. Through master-slave architecture the driving capability could extended to over 100W of LED, which is enough for 30 "to 42" LED TV backlighting.
  A732/A728, can control the external power switch to prevent Vin inrush current, also provided output short circuit protection, and to achieve true shutdown isolation, to avoid the LED light leakage caused by the leakage current. A732/A728 supports two type of dimming:  DC voltage and pulse width modulation (PWM
)¡F PWM dimming could support up to 1000:1 dimming range. Time shift for constant current sink channels on-and off, reducing the interference generated by the dimming. Voltage feedback mechanism to keep the driver IC at best efficiency mode, without impact of LED forward voltage (VF) of the differences and temperature change.

A732/A728 series, but also built-in multiple protection mechanisms: LED open-circuit protection, LED short circuit protection, over voltage protection, over current protection, thermal protection, and undervoltage lockout protection (UVLO) and so on. In addition, the external system can read the Status pin (A728) to understand if the LED driver circuit protection action has occurred. A702 is an adjustable constant current driver for LED applications. Six regulated current ports are designed to provide uniform and pure DC constant current sinks for driving LEDs within a large range V F variations. Users may adjust the output current from 5mA to 40mA through an external resistor that gives user flexibility in controlling the light intensity of LEDs. The wide supply voltage range of 6V~50V is suitable for various applications and the output sustaining voltage of 75V makes it capable of driving up to 35pcs of LED in series.
